manhattan question

Hello,
Couple of questions.

Any suggestions on how to get from LGA to Omni Berkshire in Midtown?

Should i reserve a cab or flag one outside the airport? There are two of us.

What are inexpensive fast food places with vegetarian options (no eggs, but dairy is ok)?

THANKS!!

You cannot reserve a regular yellow taxi.
When you get out of the terminal there will be many signs directing you to the taxi line, which usually moves quickly. A taxi into midtown will cost about $30-$40 including toll and tip.
IF you are coming at a busy time of the day or busy day (holiday weekend) you might want to call a car service (like Carmel or Dial 7) when you are at the airport. The price will be about the same, but it is a fixed rate so you don't worry about the meter running in traffic.
There are airport buses that go into midtown but will not cost much less for 2 people and then you have to get to your hotel from the bus stop.

Are you looking for veggie places near your hotel only or also other neighborhoods?

THanks. Is dial 7 need to be called from a phone at the airport or can I call it from my cell?

we are looking for veggie options near the hotel (within 2-3 blks).

i hope we find the usual subway sandwich stores and hopefully convenience stores.

THANKS!

You will find many places with vegetarian options - but 2/3 blocks is a very short distance in NYC. Anything under a mile is considered easy walking distance. That area is primarily business oriented and most of the restaurants are of the more upscale variety - so I'm not sure what vegetarian would be there (although you can usually go with Italian, Chinese, Indian etc and get lots of veggie choices).

Also - you don;t give your budget - and that area doens't specialize in budget places.

If you go to menupages.com you can search by neighborhood (but in 10 or 15 block increments - not 2/3 so you will have to check addresses) and cuisine - with diner reviews and actual menus with prices. That might be a good place to start.
