Activities? Shows? Restaurants? Clubs? Shopping? Trees?

Give us a clue what you are looking for - and a budget if appropriate.

And what specific dates will you be here?

Omg! Brain freeze! Restaurants!!!!!! Thank you!

Considering how many restaurants there are in NYC and nobody knows your and your family's cuisine preferences or budget, that is still not enough info. How is it that everyone in your family is a young adult if you don't mind my asking?

www.menupages.com will likely be helpful to you

It really depends on your likes and price level. But during the holidays it's particularly important to make reservations. Most restaurants close on Christmas Day, so the traditional New York staple is upscale Chinese (such as at Shun Lee). That's always a favorite and jam-packed.

Gramercy Tavern.

Check out the holiday store windows after 10PM or you'll never get to see them or early on Christmas morning.

What cuisines? What prices - either entree or with drinks and/or wine but tell us?

Do you want funky and cheap? The best sea food in town? Neighborhood ethnic?

And where will you be staying (won't be deal breaker - but you probably want something in your area - even if only breakfast and brunch).

These are restaurants I enjoyed in October.

Our favorite types of restaurants are the local neighborhood, local food. Home made really good ethnic, local whatever. That little hole in the wall that only the locals know about!

We had a really enjoyable meal at Zebu Grill last week. Upper East Side at 92nd St. Brazilian food and friendly service.

Try Kefi for very good Greek.

We do Bella Luna for casuale neighborhood Italian - but I certainly would't call it a hole in the wall. Gennaro is also excellent.

All on the upper west side.

For details look at menupages.com - you can search by name, by location or by cuisine - and find actual menus with prices.

NYtraveler...you like Kefi. I liked old Kefi (79th street) but the new one is very uncomfortable seating. Gennaro only takes cash but it is our favorite in the neighborhood. Really wish there was a good Chinese in UWS.
