Manhattan Accomodations
Please respond with feedback if you or anyone you know ever stayed at the Chuchill Suites, Upper Eastside Manhattan.
|
It's kind of odd, but I put Churchill Suites in the search function here and got a number of these same questions, but not a single response (other than where it is). I vote that you be the first one to go try it and let us know how it was!

Tripadvisor has practicall y nothing on this - although it does on other locations. Some are mixed, some seem bogus.
Be aware this is not a hotel but an apartment house in which you are sort of subletting. Don;t know if this is legitimate or not. (There are legal issues with some of these buildings in New York - owers illegally renting apartments as hotel rooms while not meeting safety standards, Don;t know if these are part of that group or not.) |
Churchill is apparently a co. that rents apartments in different buildings around Manhattan. I don't know where the upper east side one is located but someone recently posted on another forum about staying in a Churchhill apartment downtown in the financial district. While very basic, the poster said it was ok but there is no onsite management. If you have a problem, you're given an 800 phone number to call.
I personally wouldn't take the chance. Perhaps if you posted what you need and for when, we can help you find some other options. There's a brand new Courtyard by Marriott Hotel on the upper east side on 92 st. & 1st ave. that gets very good reviews and can sometimes be very affordable. The Gracie Inn is a b & b that's not bad and has apt. like suites. |
tyracole - I see this is your first first so welcome to Fodors.
Please listen to poster mclaurie - come back and give us a bit more information. When you are going to NYC, your budget per night, how many people? Do you just want a room to sleep or looking for a kitchen. You will get a lot more help and suggestions. Poster mclaurie and others who know NYC will give you a lot of good information. I love NYC and can't wait to go back. Sandy |
