Mana Kai Condos in Kihei
Please give any info on these condos, also, the hotel - I think is next door -. Is it close to The Rennaissance Hotel? And the beach is an important part of how we decide on where to stay. The Wailea area is really beautiful, but I do not know of any condos on the beach, except for the one south of the Rennaissance. I do not remember the name. Thanks very much for any advice.

The beach in front of the Mana Kai is fantastic. And the Mana Kai sits right on the beach, one of the few hotel/condos in Kihei that does. There is a great little restaurant in the Mana Kai and a superb Italian(Carrelli's) next door. Try to get on an upper floor in the middle if possible.JMHO

Joy:
This link provides an aerial view of Maui resorts, includes most, if not all accomodations, and lets you see locations relative to other places.

http://wizardpub.com/Pages/MAERIAL.html

Also, ezron, unfortunately Carrelli's closed last spring. A new restaurant is expected to open soon in that location.

I'm sorry to hear Carelli's closed. We ate there in August 2000 when we stayed at the Mana Kai and had been planning on going back this year!

We stayed at the Mana Kai 2 years ago and loved it. Splurge on an one bedroom ocean view. Their "standard" rooms look out to the parking lot.

We tried to book the Mana Kai for a March vacation not too long ago and they were already full. Don't wait too long before booking.

You might consider the Waliea Ekahi as well. They're lovely condos just down the beach from the Mana Kai. They might be a bit more expensive though.
