Mamma Mia, Dirty Rotten, Wedding Singer

Theatre goers,
I would like to take my parents (age 67) to see one of the following Mamma Mia, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels or the Wedding Singer. We are looking for a fun night out. I had also considered Wicked but am unable to get reasonably priced tickets. Which would you recommend. They grew up in the Bronx but have since moved to VA. Thought it would be fun to go out on the town. THanks!

Of those three I would suggest Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Agree with SusieQQ - DIRTY ROTTEN

We're about the same age as your parents and loved the cast and discounted tickets to The Light in the Piazza in late April.

Hi, Scarlett!

Here's another piece to add to your travel puzzle:

You cannot continue south on Highway 1 from San Francisco to Santa Cruz because a part of the road is closed. The closed portion is between Pacifica and Montara.

So plan on driving southward on I-280, then take Highway 92 to Half Moon Bay and from there you can continue on Highway 1.

This item just came up on another thread, so thought I would add it to your trip planning as well. :)

Obviously the previous posting was misplaced!
I, too, would recommend Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.....unless, of course, your parents were big fans of ABBA. In that case, they would probably enoy Mamma Mia. But unless they were big fans of the group, forget that show.

I was never a fan of Abba, but saw Mamma Mia 3 times and enjoyed it each time.

I'm 56, and I'd recommend anything other than Mamma Mia. I thought it was canned and manipulative.

Thanks for all your advice! I've booked Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Hope 20 rows back from stage Orchestra are decent seats. Did get a slight discount. This board is the best!
