Mama Leone's in NYC
 

Twenty years ago I went to Mama Leone's in NYC. I was wondering is it still in business? It used to be somewhat popular, but I never see it mentioned now. Has it gone downhill as many restaurants do? Anyone?

Good riddance to that tourist trap place. It has been replaced with Olive Garden, nearly as bad.

Dave: Don't give up hope. Restaurant Associates owns the Mama Leone name and has indicated a desire to revive it. Hopefully it will be more like the earlier version as opposed to the disaster it ultimately ended up being.

Unfortunately the original family that owned it sold it to a Japanese corporation (!!). They moved to another location but could not sustain the food/atmosphere of the original.
