What is the best way to get from the airport to the Mall of America, and what are the costs?

MetroTransit buses run between the airport and Mall of America every 30 minutes. It is a 5 minute ride. Exit through Door 5 on the lower level and follow the signs to the bus stop.

thanks, i've heard there is a train/rail??? when i did a search on this site

Our "light rail" is not running yet. They tested the first one last week, and SURPRISE, SURPRISE! The thing got hung up on the ice. Who would have thought we would have ice in Minnesota??? I hope my pessimism about the thing is off base, but we aren't real good at using public transportation here in Minneapolis now, I hope the GIANT investment pays off. Thanks, Governor Ventura!

I don't know your plans, but depending on where you are staying, the hotels have shuttles from the airport to their hotel - and they run regular shuttles from the hotel to the Mall of America. MANY hotels are within 1-4 miles of the Mall - Embassy Suites, AmericInn, Thunderbird, etc. Find out which one has a shuttle.
