Nah, probably dropped in on some locals wave and was given a lesson in surfing etiquette....local style! If he hates it so much and it's as bad as he says it is here, kinda funny he chooses to stay, yeah?

Hello mauiman - the thread is titled "Make-up in Maui?" You'll note the original post says pls. only respond if you're a make-up wearer. Ok, I guess that includes catty metrosexuals who are into foundation and nails for males...

LoveItaly: Thanks for that most helpful suggestion! It is now on my list of things to try!!!

suze: You started out so nice...then that last comment just turned the screw! ...you must be a fellow 'Southerner'. Ha!:)

Hey gals, you're giving that guy just what he wants...attention! Let's just ignore him. (I think he's trying that reverse psychology to me so he can have Maui all to himself!....Kinda like Kal and Kaui!). :).

My sis and my son have been to Maui within the last couple years and a co-worker of mine goes yearly, so you really don't have to defend Maui to me...I've seen the beautiful pics and read or listened to the wonderful trip reports! Belle

OldSouthernBelle, I hope what works for me works for you.

Also wanted to comment. I found that eye shadow in Hawaii did not work. For some reason it made my eyelids sting and burn. The reason? Not sure.

Love makeup but as others have said the less you wear the better off you are in Hawaii.

Wishing you a beautiful trip. ((*))

LoveItaly: I'm counting on it!! I don't see how it could be otherwise, with all the great advice I'm getting on this board! Thanks again! Belle.

Get an application of self tanner at a salon before you go for color and skip the foundation. put on a long lasting lip color and water proof mascara. For the hair, wear a nice head band or scarf tied as a headband. Talbots has some very pretty wide silk headbands for the spring.
