Maine Resorts

Can anyone recommend any resorts in Maine? Only requirement is that is must be on the water. Our family has never traveled to the North East before so we have no clue where to begin. Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

It really depends on where you want to visit in Maine. Our favorite place to visit in Maine is Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park. It is beautiful and busy in the Summer. We normally camp, but stayed at the Bluenose Inn a few times and it was great and right on the bay...

I LOVE the Black Point Inn in Scarborough. Grand old inn, breakfast & dinner included (excellent), water on two sides of the resort, beaches and pool.

Kennenukport also has some nice resorts; check out The Colony Resort and Cape Arundel Inn.

Good Luck!

Try the Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth. Or the Chebeague Island Inn, part of Yarmouth.
