Magazines about Colorado
 

Hello all - my folks love traveling to Colorado. They are not into hiking, biking or really any kind of exercise thing, they just like to drive around, look at scenery and explore towns. My dad's birthday is coming up soon and I'd like to try to find a magazine about Colorado and all the unique towns there are to see and interesting stories. Does anyone know of a magazine like this?

Not a magazine, but photographer John Fielder has at least two beautiful coffee-table type books of his Colorado scenic work. One shows a 'then and now' approach to specific places over the years, and his newest has a cover that looks like granite. Maybe your Dad would like something like that?

I don't know of a Colorado specific magazine but Sunset Magazine always has information about Colorado. Sometimes you can find lots of past issues on eBay for a very reasonable price - be sure to ask for media mail when they ship, it is the cheapest.

'5280' is a magazine about the Denver metro area. Demographics-wise, it might skew a little younger than your parents, but it has a lot of restaurant/entertainment reviews and info. They also have a website--www.5280.com.

You can also go to www.colorado.com and request information on just about anything, for free. They will also send you a free Colorado map.
