Madrid NM Christmas parade

I went to Santa Fe for a mental health break a few weeks ago. A friend there said we had to go to the Christmas parade in Madrid. So off we went. It was a delight.

Madrid apparently is an old mining town now occupied by artists and other eccentrics. The parade was great. Led by a yak. Old cars and other animals. Adults in foolish costumes doing foolish things and throwing candy canes. .Children in adorable costumes. The 2-lane main drag in Madrid really came alive for about 20 minutes.

CBS Sunday morning did a story about the parade on December 17, 2017.

If you are planning to be in Santa fe or Albuquerque in early December, check this out!

That sounds like quite a fun spectacle. Madrid has a funky vibe as it is, perfect parade for the place.
