Madison Hotel Manhattan

Good Morning. Anyone have any info on the Madison Hotel that is at the corner of Madison Ave and 27th Street? Rates appear pretty good just curious of the area, clean safe the usual things.

Thank you
Kim

You might want to take a look at the 191 reviews on tripadvisor, which include at least 20 submitted since April.

Kim, don't you know about tripadvisor? Virtually every hotel on the planet is listed there with reviews. You do NOT want to stay at this hotel. Don't forget to check out the "travelers' photos"

I think Anonymous was looking at the Jolly Madison Hotel Towers, not the Madison Hotel. The Madison Hotel only has 1 '08 review, not 20+ since April (see Mclaurie's link).

In any case, you should check out the tripadvisor comments. The neighborhood is fine, but the hotel itself is questonable.

Sorry.

Thank you yes I do know about tripadvisor and read most of the reviews. There was only the one that really had any complaints so I came here looking if anyone who frequents tripadvisor would have any further insight.

Did you put your dates in kayak.com and see what comes up in your pricerange?

I stayed at the Carlton on Madison Hotel..is that the one you are referring to? I loved it. The staff was amazing, too. There were millions spent remodelling the hotel. The lobby, restaurants and private dining spaces were gorgeous (make sure you go up to the mezzanine level). The area is not my favourite because I am used to spending more time around 53rd and 5th but I did explore south of the hotel and am starting to appreciate the midtown south area. Mostly around the hotel are offices and as a lone woman I was comfortable walking around.
