Madison Bistro New York City

Looking for a French Restaurant that is near the Morgan Library in NYC. Went in there a few years ago for a drink and wanted to go back for dinner this time around. I think it is the Madison Bistro. Has anyone been there and is it good for dinner?

I've eaten there, and the food was ok. Although its a little further away, I prefer Le Parisien on 33rd. Or even better Artisanal on 32nd.

thanks. I thought I had a card from the restaurant but do not. Will look into the 2 you mentioned. I am doubting that the place was called Madison Bistro as I thought it had a french name. Could be one of those you mentioned.

Service at Artisanal is forgettable, as in, they forget about you. Give consideration to The NoMad, Daniel Humm's great place at 28th and Broadway.

It actually is called "Madison Bistro" and it's about a block north of the Morgan Library.

I've not had the same experience at Artisanal as bspielman. Our experience was quite the opposite. And, of course, there's no dispute about the quality of the food.

Agree about NoMad...we've had nothing but good experiences there. I'd book a few weeks ahead, though, unless you do not mind eating at 5:30pm.
