Madame Tussauds Wax Museum NYC Discounts?

My son and his girlfriend want to go to Madame Tussands Wax Museum. Does anyone know how to get discount tickets. I was hoping for buy one get one free. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

My only suggestion is that this place is a complete waste of time. (My 12 year old nephew rated it terminally boring.)

Suggest they explore other options in a city that has everything.

When are they coming? I've only seen such big discounts in the quietest months--Jan and Feb (there was a deal like that on the NYC tourism website several weeks ago) .
Keep checking it before they come
http://www.nycgo.com/offers

Otherwise, I see discounts of about $6 per person in those free tourist books/maps that you can get all over midtown.

Is goldstar a legit company and is there a membership charge?

It's absolutely legitimate and there's no charge but you have to register for free (like here on Fodors to post or on playbill.com to see discounts) to USE their discounts. You can just peruse what they have before you register if you want.
