Macy's State St. Christmas Windows

So, how does the Macy's State St. X-mas`decor compare to that of Marshall Fields? Are the windows and other decorations better, worse, or about the same as in previous years? Didn't want to make a trip into the city unless the decor this year was worth the trip. In my opinion, last year was a bit of a disappointment.

Has anyone out there been to Macy's to view the X-Mas decor?

In recent years, I didn't think the windows were comparable to decades ago. On our nightly tv news, I notice that one intro had views that looked ok.

I won't be making a trip just to see the windows, but will later in Dec. to a point farther North for a couple of activities.

The same report had middling reviews of the windows from passers-by. I think it was NBC, and then it lead to a short story about Fannie May possibly returning for candy production here.

japw82, I think it is about the same as last years level, that's what I took from it.

Last year's displays was a cinderella theme. Anyone out there know what the theme is this year?

According to The Chicago Tribune, this years theme is Mary Poppins. As you would expect, some like it...some don't.

Frankly, I'd rather spend my time in
Ditka's.
