Macy's New Years Day Parade NYC

What street does this parade go down, and what time does it run from? What hotel would be in a good location to view it from?

Do you mean Thanksgiving? If so, this is last year's route: <BR> <BR>http://www.ny.com/holiday/thanksgiving/map.html <BR> <BR>And here's some hotel info: <BR> <BR>http://www.ny.com/hotels/thanksgiving.html

That was an idiot question...sorry. Is there a parade in New York on New Years Day, or anything eventful? Thanks for sites.

There's no parade on New Year's Day to my knowledge. It's a fairly quiet day - people recuperating from the prior night's festivities. But, it being NYC, I'm sure there's a party going on somewhere. <BR>

Sorry, Fran, but New Year's Day is a quiet one in NYC.

Fran I think you are maybe thinking of teh Mummers parade in Philadelphia. It is about 100 years old quite colorful. We have New Years eve. But you don't want to come to that unless you are 20 years old, a lot of drunks and kids yelling in the new year. Most of us stay in or leave when that party is here.
