Machiavelle Restorante in Seattle
Would appreciate any feedback on this place. Also, I found one web site that said they don't take reservations but then looking at another, it said they did.
TYVM

I have not eaten here because all my friends who have said this:

1) very inexpensive
2) bad food!

There are so many great places to eat in Seattle, if you are looking for Italian I would recommend Assiggio or Il Bistro.

Wendy

They do NOT take reservations. Plan to wait at least an hour unless you arrive right at 5pm, when they open.

But don't bother. Wendy's friends are right -- not worth it.

We had dinner there last weekend. They do not take reservations so we arrived by 5pm and got a wonderful seat to people watch. Very rustic place but that is what makes is so neat. Wendy, don't listen to your friends. We found the prices reasonable and the food was excellent. Only complaint I would have is that they should add more Italian deserts to the menu. We've eaten at Assagios and a few other places while in Seattle in the past. This is a place we will definately go back to. Service was great and the frsh bread was dee-lish.

One final note: (and this is not meant to sound mean so please don't take it that way) Wendy, you mentioned earlier that "it's very inexpensive". Does that mean to say that unless your spending $470 as you did in a previous post that the place isn't worth it? I would think that most who come here looking for opinions and suggestions would appreciate knowing about the pricey and non-pricey places to eat. And as much as we travel, I've always found that some of the best places are the small out-of-the-way places that you don't read too much about.

I give Machiavelle a big thumbs up. Our experience and our food was fantastic.

Nakedland, thanks for the advice to check out Machiavelle, glad you had a good experience.

When I said it was inexpensive I actually meant that as the good part about the restaurant. Believe me, we don't have $400+ meals often. One of my favorite eats in Seattle is the roast chicken for 2 at Le Pichet which is $30 total!

I absolutely agree that it's the food & atmosphere that make a great restuarant, not the price!

Wendy
