M vineyard B&B
We want to go to M Vineyard for a week in the summer. We will take our car over...but main transportation will be bicycles. We would like an inexpensive B&B. Any suggestions???

You could try the Harbor Landing on Beach Road in Vineyard Haven (www.harbor-landing.com) Most of the guests own timeshare weeks, but they also rent out rooms and are on the low to mid-price range, very low-key. They have a common kitchen fully equipped for guests, bbq grills, bike racks and their own parking lot, and a sundeck. They have been renovating over the years and the staff is very helpful.
Oops, sorry, you did ask about a B&B, which Harbor Landing is not. We have stayed at HL off and on for years though, and it might be a reasonable alternative. Good luck.

anyone else have any thoughts??

Kayebee,
The web site for the Martha's Vineyard Chamber of Commers is mvy.com - they would have B&B listings. I think Oak Bluffs might have more less expensive options.
Look into the Four Gables Inn in Oak Bluffs.

www.fourgablesmv.com

Hi,
I go to the Vineyard often. It is a great place to visit, although the summertime gets very crowded. I have stayed at the Four Gables a number of times.. Nice folks that run it. Pleasant place to stay although it can sometimes get noisy at night since is on the main road into Oak Bluffs. It is outside of Oak Bluffs close to restaurants and shops and buses if you want to go up island. I would staythere again if I was going to a B &B!I am going to the Vineyard next weekend looking forward to being by the ocean
Marilyn
