Lyndonville, VT (NW area)
I will be in this town 2 days, beginning of October. What is there to do on my two day stay? We have our own car as we are driving from Maine to Niagara Falls & we are staying at a B&B for a few nights due to long driving time & leaves will be changing. Thanks

The NEK is a very rural, yet beautiful part of VT. What kind of things do you like to do? The Kingdom Trails is an awesome network of biking trails-HQ are in East Burke. There is a nice natural science museum in St. Johnsbury-The Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium. Be sure to drive up to Lake Willougby-gourgeous. Take the autoroad to the top of Burke Mountain. Drive up 114 between E. Burke and Island Pond-maybe you'll see a moose. Visit Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury if you love dogs and/or are a fan of artist Stephen Huneck. Drive over to Cabot and visit the Cabot Creamery.

A few more suggestions-Franconia Notch in NH is only 45 or so minutes away. Great hiking, biking, walking, scenery etc. You can the tramway to the top of Cannon Mountain.
FYI...NEK stands for Northeast Kingdom, which is the part of Vermont Lyndonville is in.

I have been to Franconia Notch, NH as my ex's family lives in Berlin. It was beautiful when we went mid October MANY years ago.
Can you rent bikes to go on biking trails? We love to bike and do so at home in Ft. Lauderdale. Thanks Again!

Jody,

There's a beautiful bike trail that runs from Cannon Mtn. to The Flume visitor center. It is absolutely beautiful, and all downhill going south.

You can rent bikes right at Canon Mountain.

Jody,
You should also be able to rent bikes at East Burke Sports (I'd check ahead of time though) to use on the Kingdom Trails in/around Lyndonville.
