LV, Grand Canyon, Utah itinerary help
 

Hi, wondering if this is too ambitions for a 4 day trip in mid february:

Arrive in LAS late night, sleep over.

Day 1: drive LV to mt zion. spend all day there, stay in springdale.

Day 2: drive to either Bryce Canyon or (probably more realistic) Page. Stay the night.

Day 3: drive to the south rim and spend the day/night there

Day 4: drive back to LAS, fly out the next morning.

We are a couple who likes great scenery but does not need to go on many arduous hikes- especially this time of year, a drive through with stops type of trip is fine. I know bryce is fantastic but it seems like Page would be more feasible given the time constraints. Is Page interesting?

Any feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Could do Bryce, Zion and North Rim, but not in February.

Could Do Bryce and Zion ( still not sure about February) or
Vegas and South Rim.

You need to stay overnight at any of these great places. You need to see the sun sets and the sunrises. You need to sit still and take in the wonders of the places.

We've done the trip a couple of times and have done it both directions. If you're worried about time, skip Bryce this time. It will probably be snowy and you will only be able to drive around the top, no hiking down into it and it will probably be very cold. Zion should fine since it is much lower. The motel in Zion is fine and we walked in and got reservations for three couples in Feb. If you go from there early you can make the south rim of the Grand Canyon by night but you might want to stop in Page (plenty of lodging) and check out Antelope Canyon. which is a couple of miles out of town and worth a stop. Then go to Grand Canyon and spend the night there on night 3 and a morning in the canyon and back to Vegas on day 4. If you have time stop at Hoover Dam on the way back. If you are flexible, look at the weather channel and determine the conditions going each way. If it looks like a storm in Utah, hit the canyon first, then Page and Zion.

stick with one or two at the most, not all three. agree that weather could hamper Bryce.

If you're going from Zion/Bryce to the South Rim of GC then you'll drive right by Page.

If you plan to be there for 2 - 3 hours when the sun is high in the sky, I would highly recommend Antelope Canyon that's located a couple of mile South East of town and Horseshoe Bend. The Horseshoe Bend parking lot is right off the nort-south highway and half a mile below the Antelope Canyon cutoff.

It's free. 3/4 mile easy walk. At the end, no fence, no barrier no screen. Just straight down to the Colorado River.

A truly amazing sight.
