Luxury resort for special occasion
 

My husband is celebrating his 60th in October and I'd like to whisk him away to a special luxury resort, somwhere within easy flying distance of Boston. I was thinking of the Greenbrier in WV but am looking for other ideas. (For my 50th he took me to Australia and NZ for a month and I know that I can't top that!)

Easy flights
Quebec City
Palm Beach - the Breakers
Bermuda

It would help to know how many days you plan to be away. A weekend/a month etc.

Probably just a long weekend - Thursday through Tuesday, end of October (depending on available flights).

Charleston, SC: The Market Pavillion

Florida Keys; Little Palm Island (not exactly easy but worth it)

October is beautiful in San Diego..
Hotel Del in Coronado is lovely or
the La Costa Resort would be perfect too.

My girlfriend just got back from a trip to the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island and loved it.

mclaurie is right about the Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla..gorgeous.
Torrey will host the US Open in 2008.
La Costa Resort has a great golf course too.

The Reefs, Bermuda. Less than two hours from BOS.
