Luxury Los Angeles Hotels
Please suggest what are the most luxurious hotels in Los Angeles, in Beverly Hills, near Hollywood as well as LAX. Thanks!

Jen

Peninsula is the best in the metro area in my opinion...particularly if you can get a villa suite. That's as good as it gets.
The Four Seasons is great, Regent Beverly Wilshire, St. Regis, Bel Air and L'Hermitage are the other top hotels.
The city of LA itself (downtown) doesn't really have a great hotel.
|
I don't know if they would be considered one of the most luxurious L.A. hotels, but I really enjoyed staying at the Sunset Marquis a few years back. And, I was only in a 1-bedroom suite - I hear their villas are really really nice!

Listen to Jerry.
I've stayed in all the hotels he mentions and TOTALLY agree!
The Peninsula and Regent are 2 of my all time Continental US favorites!
|
Another vote for the Peninsula, for location; Bel Air for atmosphere (but you need a car).

I agree with all except the overrated Bel-Air. I find this hotel to be old and musty looking, and the "pond" where the ducks are swimming is dirty and nothing special at all!!

I noticed Jerry included the St. Regis...? Does it belong in this group? Just saw an ad on tv for it and it looked quite nice...

There's also the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey, which is near LAX.

The St Regis is the local branch of the 5* NYC hotel of the same name and is supposed to be quite luxurious.
