Luxury Hotels for Christmas

Dear Chicago:
I've stayed at all three (the FS and RC several times). My answer is: it depends on what you like about hotels, but over all I'd rank the three FS>PH>RC.
My personal favorite in Chicago is none of the above. It's the new Peninsula.
Ratings which list the RC highly are based on old information. This hotel has become worn (for the $$) and is in need of an updating. While the FS is a great all around hotel, it too is about due for some sprucing up...but much less in need than the RC. (Both the RC and FS are owned by Four Seasons group, by the way). THe PH is only a couple years old but it feels a little more generic than the other two and service isn't quite as good.
The Peninsula is Chicago's new top hotel IMO. It is worthy of your Christmas $$ more than the other 3.
