Luxury Accomodations near Orlando with NICE pool area?
 

Considering Disney, but will probably only go to the attractions 2 or 3 days, and spend other 3 days relaxing at resort by the pool. Any resorts have adult only pools?

The Grand Cypress Hyatt is a great hotel with a very nice pool. We stayed here on business with our kids and visited the parks.

The Orlando World Marriott resort had the nicest pool area I've seen at a U.S. hotel--we spent one entire day there with our kids and it was the most relaxing day of the trip!

Forgot to mention--the Marriott had 3 pools and numerous hot tubs. One of the pools/hot tubs was on a different level from the others and almost empty most of the time.

My wife and I own a tiemshare week at the Sheraton Vistana Villages and Vistana Resort and they each have a very nice adult-only pool and hot tub area. We've spent many days around the resort instead of going to the attractions.

Another vote for the Hyatt Grand Cyprus. While I wouldn;t call it a luxury hotel in the class of Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental it's certainly nice enough - the rooms are a little more ordinary - but fine - perhaps half a step down.

The main atrium is pretty and the pool area is beautiful. Not adults only but we have been there several times and there are usually few if any children.

Consider renting a house. There are many houses in the Orlando area that rent reasonably with their own private pools. Look up Orlando on vrbo.com

We spent a lovely week at the Grand Floridian last February. Depends on the time of year as to the amounts of children. That time of year, there were hardly any children, just a few toddlers and they tend to be at the pool in the evenings, and they go to the park during the day when the adults were pool side.

JW Marriott at Grand Lakes. It is on the same property as the Ritz Carlton and I prefer the hotel to this Ritz. Fabulous Ritz Spa. Great restaurants. The Marriott Pool is lovely but has lots of kids because of its lazy river feature (which is fun and relaxing if you go early in the am before the kiddies) and the Ritz Pool gets all the adults and is elegant. I really liked the Ritz spa here. If you like golf, it has a wonderful Greg Norman course.
