Luxor in Las Vegas
 

Both my friend and I will be staying in the Luxor this August, he is driving from L.A. and I am flying in from Scotland. <BR> <BR>Neither of us know Vegas too well, could anyone suggest a good bar preferably in the Luxor or very very near to meet. I had a look on the Luxor website but they dont mention bars by name. <BR> <BR>I only mention a bar since either of us is running late, the other can have a wee drink :-) <BR> <BR>Can anyone help? <BR> <BR>Thanks <BR> <BR>E.

You can meet your friend at the House of Blues or on the IMAX floor in front of the Obelisk (meet here and then walk to your bar together). <BR>Have fun! I just came back the week after the Memorial Day holiday.

Be advised that House of Blues is located at Mandalay Bay, not Luxor. Mandalay Bay is located next to Luxor at the end of the strip. <BR> <BR>You may consider meeting at a restaurant at the Luxor since many of them will have bars. Have a great trip!

We stayed at the Luxor last summer and ended up going to the NY NY hotel and casino which is very close by... I think you can take a shuttle bus that drops you off at Excalibur and then it's a short walk. They had an excellent bar there on the ground floor, lots of good beer on tap and a nice atmosphere.

<BR>If the point is just to find a meeting place, find something in the Luxor. These hotels are _HUGE_, and its a long long walk to any other one. <BR> <BR>The two bars (Nefertiti's and ?) I remember are more like noisy crowded nightclubs, not good meeting places. <BR> <BR>I suggest the Pyramid Cafe, which is reasonably peaceful, not too vast, and you can order a drink. Or call the hotel to get a suggestion. <BR> <BR>
