Lupa or Coco Pazzo

I am trying to decide between Lupa and Cocco Pazzo, any help?

I love Lupa, but I haven't been to Coco Pazzo. Lupa is one of my favorites, great food at very reasonable prices. You can't go wrong.

I've been to Coco Pazzo but not Lupa.
It's good, with nice but not stuffy atmosphere.
Service is good, prices fair.

Haven't been to Coco Pazzo, but Lupa is a good way to try some interesting food on a budget. I don't know if they still have it, but about two years ago we tried their tasting menu, and it was only $35. We didn't exactly go away stuffed, but for the price, it was a fun way to sample some different dishes. Note that the restaurant is quite cramped.

Just wanted to add that the cuisine at Lupa is Roman, not your traditional Northern or Southern Italian. It has a lot of dishes with a Morrocan influence which are very different than you might expect from a traditional Italian menu. They also offer more run of the mill pastas.

It is also a salumeria, so the antipasti are excellent. Yes, it is small, can be crowded, but that's why it's difficult for a couple to spend $100 there, which is unusual for a good NY restaurant.
