Lunch with 12 y.o.
 

Can anyone suggest a place for lunch, midtown NYC, that a 12 year old boy might think is fun?? Thank you.

What does he like? Would he like an ethnic restaurant? Is this his first trip to NYC? Has he been to a "real" deli?

It would be helpful if Midtown NYC were in your subject line. The Palm Court at the Plaza Hotel might mess with his mind.

The Palm Court also isn't open at the moment. Let's get beyond midtown - what is young boy doing before or after lunch. If he were going to the Intrepid, I'd say Daisy May's Ribs

Try Ellen's Stardust diner. the food is basic diner fare but he performing wait staff is a hoot - out of work Brodwway chorus boys and girls. Do NOT go for any of the theme restaurats Mars, Jeckyl, Hard Rock etc) - since the food is poor, expensive for what you get - and some have problems with clenliness.

We're going home after lunch.....Ellen's Stardust it is. Never been. Forgot about it. Thank you, as always.

If he likes sports, ESPN Zone is better than Ellen's.
