Lunch suggestion near Boeing
 

I will be visiting Boeing and need a suggestion for lunch. I read that Anthony's Home Port is excellent and located in Everett but am not sure how close it is to Boeing. I won't have a car and will have to use either public or private (my feet) transportation. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi, Alfreda, <BR>There are numerous Boeing facilities in the Seattle-Everett area. If you are visiting the main 747/777 assembly complex in south Everett, you are a fair distance from any concentrations of restaurants. Without a car, and unless you're prepared to wait a long while for bus connections (middle of the day is not a peak period) I think you should plan on eating at the cafeterias, etc. available for employees. For the record, Anthony's IS excellent. There are also a couple of good restaurants next to the ferry dock in Mukilteo, somewhat closer to the Boeing plant.

Thank you for your response. I had no idea there were multiple Boeing locations. I was planning on going to the Museum of Flight, the Red Barn and the assembly plant tour. It's probably the 747/777 plant that has the plant tour but I'm not sure. I had the impression that it was all one big complex in Everett. You've helped me with much more than lunch suggestions. Thanks!

Hello again, Alfreda. <BR>If you go through Grayline to take the tour of the Boeing Everett plant, you won't need to worry about lunch there. As others have said, many great restaurants in the downtown/waterfront Seattle area (try Macrina bakery/cafe at 2408 1st ave, up the hill from the Edgewater). <BR>If you're at the Museum of Flight there is a cafe on site that is actually pretty good. If you have a car that day, try the Alki Bakery (5700 1st Ave South, which is about 3 miles north of the museum).
