Lunch recommendations Grand Canyon?

Any good places for lunch at the South Rim Grand Canyon?

Pack a lunch and have a picnic! That's what we recently did and it was fun.

The places to eat are at the beginning and end of most of the walks. So unless you want to start off at lunch time...I'd suggest bringing your own IMHO.

Hope this helps...

on the rim by the hotels are 2 restaurants:Bright Angel and the El Tovar(and the Arizona Steakhouse but it is only open for supper)and a cafeteria about a 10 minute walk back from the rim..also a grocery by it..

The grocery/general store inside the park at the South Rim has a good deli with sandwiches, salads, etc. Buy there and have a picnic.
