Lunch in Chapel Hill?

Heading up to Raleigh for a game in a couple Saturdays and thought we’d stop in Chapel Hill for lunch (no home Carolina game). Don’t need fancy, but would like a good lunch. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

any cuisine favorites?

If you want to go to downtown CH, Mama Dip's, Crook's Corner (though not a favorite of mine), 411 West,. There is a place above the now closed Carolina Theater at the corner of Franlin/Rosemary that I can't think of the name, sit outside and watch the folks on the street. Spanky's is across the street from it. The Rathskeller recently reopened (read in paper, haven't been by) that wouldn't be fancy!

Do you want to be in downtown CH?

Thanks ncgrrl. Someplace downtown with charm would be nice. Been to Mama Dips lately. Is the Rathskeller like the one that used to be in Raleigh on Hillsboro? Don't need fancy, just looking for good lunch. Salads and sandwiches are fine. Thanks.

Similar Ratskellers.

It's Top of the Hill I couldn't remember the name of earlier. I'd go with it or Spanky's. Both are order off a menu and have a waitress serve you type of places. Lots of counter service places along Franklin St.

I haven't been to Franklin St. in a while so there could be something new.

Is the Carolina Coffee Shop still there on Franklin St.? That was always my favorite place for a nice, casual lunch.
