Lunch around Rockefeller Center or MET Museum

I'll be doing a day trip for Christmas Show/decor early december so am looking for a good restaurant, not pricey
any ethnic/continental around Rockefeller Ctr. or The Metropolitan Museum of Art for lunch or early dinner. Maybe even around Penn Station
Thank you for your help.

Early Dec. is CRAZY around Rock Ctr. There is a food court inside (Rock Ctr.)underground with some ok options (ie. Two Boots for pizza).

If you're traveling through Penn Station, this Cuban rest. is good.

Near the Met, Caffe Grazie is decent Italian right across the street.

or for lunch/brunch, there are a number of places on Madison Ave. from coffee shops (Nectar on 82 st., Amity on 84-85 st.) or Le Pain Quotidien for a sandwich.

On 86 and 2nd there is the Heidelberg restaurant that serves traditional German food. Their beefsteak tartare is available only at lunch and during the week because it's Schaller & Weber next door that provides and grinds the meat when ordered.

Thank you for your help, it makes so much easier.

Heidelberg, a Yorkville fixture since 1964, is quite a hike from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, however.

West 46th St., between 5th and 6th Avenues, has many reasonably priced, good casual ethnic restaurants: Ipanema and Brazilian Pavilion next door to each other, Via Italia, Adkeniz (Turkish), Rangole (Indian), Argentinian Pavilion, to name a few.
Alfredo's on W. 49th, right across from Rock Center, is another good Italian place.

We love to have lunch at Bloomies in Le Train Bleu - fabulous! 59th and Lex.

By the way, there is a restaurant in the Met with a wall of windows viewing Central Park. It's a nice place to dine and take a break during your tour.
