Ludlow, VT - Lodging Ideas?

I am looking for a nice place in Ludlow for New Year's. Counter to my usual requirements, I would rather not stay in a very small/homey Inn or B&B since we will be coming in late from a New Year's party (I don't want to feel like I am sneaking around someone's house middle of the night). Any ideas for a larger place, more hotel-like?

I have stayed at the Best Western not my pick of hotels but it is clean and only a 5 minute shuttle to Okemo. Book through the national registration line as calling the desk directly does not find you the best deal.

Try the Cavendish Pointe hotel in Proctorsville (sometimes listed as Cavendish) VT, about a 10-15 minute drive east of Ludlow. It's a non-chain "country hotel", nicer than the Best Western (which is part 'hotel' and part 'motel')<BR>If you're reconsidering the ban on inns, I loved the Andrie Rose, just a block off the main street in Ludlow. I've only stayed in the main house, but they have a separate building (maybe 2?) with suites that might work better for you in terms of having a separate entrance so you don't have to worry about bothering anyone late at night.

Janie no anything close that 10-15 minute drive sounds exhausting after a day of skiing. Is there a shuttle?

Janie that was do you know anything closer to or shuttle ready to Okemo?

Sarah: Sorry, I don't. I have only been in the area in the summer (and with my own car), but why don't you try contacting them directly?
