Hi,

Going to be in wailea over christmas with kids. Wondering if anyone had ever gone to the outrigger or renaissance luaus and if you
thought the food/entertainment was good. Reading the menus on some luaus make me question if my kids would like the food.
Thanks in advance

Sue

Can't imagine going to Maui and skipping old Lahaina Luau. I have never been but see it advertised a number of times on the travel channel as the only authentic luau left. Do a search this topic has been done to death you can read more varied responses.

I would recomend the Old LAhina Luau in the cvannery mall in LAhina. THe hotel luauas seem to be al the same. The Royal LAhina luau at the Royla LAhina Resort was typical and the food was ok. My daughter hated the food, and we ended up going out later to get some for her.

It is like anything if you are not fussy and try things so will your kids.

The Old Lahaina Luau is by far the best of the Maui luaus. The entertainment and food are superb. I wouldn't bother going anywhere else.
