luau in maui

what's a good luau in Maui for a first timer? AAA recommended Old Lahaina, any other good ones?

We went to the Feast at LeLe five years ago. It was great. It was right on the ocean side and the food was delicious. There was food from Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, New Zealand, and Hawaii. We highly recommend it.

Old Lahaina is supposed to be the most authentic and the best but reservations book up fast. We were unable to get reservations and attended the Drums of the Pacific luau at the Hyatt in Kaanapali. The best part of the show was the last 15 minutes and the food & drink were not all that good. We were very disappointed for the price.

We went to the Feast at Lele this past September and had a wonderful time. The show was really good, and it includes the fire dancing (the OLL does not). The food was really good. They bring you several courses, and the drinks never stopped flowing! It's nice because you have no buffet lines to stand in either.

We did the Feast at Lele as well. I recommend it to everyone that I know going over to Maui. I liked it because it had waiter service.

Book early though b/c your seat assignment is based on how early they receive your money. We booked several months out and were front and center for the show.

Old Lahaina Luau does not have a fire knife dancer. That is the best part of any Polynesian show.

Drums of the Pacific at the Hyatt has the best fire knife dancer.

The best value is probably Royal Lahaina Luau. Lots of coupons available for this luau including one in the Entertainment Book for 25% off for yup to four people.

Our family (a group of nine adults) really enjoyed the Old Lahaina Luau. It was for my parents 50th anniversary celebration. I'd reserve table seats rather than the matts up front of the stage. It's a fabulous show, in gorgeous setting, with a pretty good buffet meal and ample cocktails.
