Luau at Imperial Palace Las Vegas

Has anyone been to the Luau at the Imperial Palace hotel? Is the food good? What is the show like? I need some opinions please. Thanks!

Laurie,<BR>I was wondering the same thing myself. I did a search but came up with nothing. Has anyone seen this show?

I haven't been to the luau, but I was unfortunate enough to have stayed at the IP last year. I saw them setting up the luau and was not particularly impressed. It's done in the pool area which is plain to say the least. Obviously, just because the area they do it isn't the nicest, doesn't mean the food and show are not ood or even great. I just don't think it would have much ambiance. If you find a picture of the IP pool, you'll understand what I mean. Of course, that was last summer, maybe they have added some landscaping to the pool since then, but probably not.

I stayed at the Imperial Palace about 5 years ago, it was a pure dump, hope they have remodeled since then. Went to the Luau and thought it was awful. I was not expecting an authentic one such as the ones in Hawaii, but they didn't even come close to the ones in Hawaii. They said that the dancers were from Hawaii but we were not impress with the show, food was &quot;average&quot; and it was very crowded. Would not go back if they offered it to me for free!!

I know Elderhostel uses this hotel, it was a turn-off enough for me.
