Love: Cirque du Soleil

Can anyone comment on doing the dinner and show combination at the Mirage? Is it worth it?

I have been to Vegas twice, the first time we were smart enough to book a Cirque du Soleil show. Wow! I have never seen anything like it before! The second time we went to Vegas, the main thing we made sure to book, was tickets to Cirque Du Soleil. Worth every penny. If you have any extra money and are not shy, I recommend the couch seats. These are loveseats placed in the very first row and there are only a few of them. When you have these seats, the performers always come by and talk to you for a bit. In the other seats, you might get lucky and one comes near you, but the couch seats, they automatically come over and spend extra time with you. Many of these people get pulled on stage or get to talk in the microphone! I think the tickets were around 150.00$ each ticket, but well worth the experience.

Regardless of where you sit though, you will have a great time! There is always more going on than on the stage. There are performers above you, beside you, on stage and in every nook and cranny you can find. You can easily come out of the show with a kinked neck, from trying to view everything! The shows we have been to are Zumanity and Mystere. Both were great!

I have never done the dinner and show though, so I could not tell you anything about the food. My recommendation though, is anything dealing with Cirque du Soleil is worth every penny and will be something you remember forever!

Here are links to what others have said about the show. I would go for good seats
to the show and eat dinner elsewhere unless doing the dinner package guarantees
better seats.

emckeeve, I have been to two circ shows.(including Love) I would recommend getting seats higher up than the floor, but with full view. I sat on the couch for one show and you miss a lot of the action. I agree with HTTY about getting dinner elsewhere, there are soooo many excellent places in vegas to eat I would not chance an average meal at a dinner/show combo. I have gone to a dinner/show combo in vegas and the food sucked big time. Enjoy your trip, ziggypop

attitude is everything

We sat fairly low down and it was FABULOUS. Tickets were the $175 ones. I think in the Mirage theater the higher up seats are too high. Do not miss this show, it is so good.

Thanks everyone. We got seats about half way up and are skipping the dinner. :-)

Recorded Beatles music on a really good sound system, and some dancing and mediocre acrobatics. $175? Worst money I ever spent. But most people really enjoy it, I hope that you do, too.

Really the music is recorded? Every cirque show we have been to the music is performed by a live band (as well as the singing).
