"Lost" site??

I'm still planning and dreaming of my trip that will take place in 9 months or so!! I am a fan of the tv show "LOST" and I know it is taped on the North Shore. I was wondering if there is a chance that we could see some of the props, actors, locations, etc. while we go on our North Shore trip??? If I ever saw "Sawyer" I think I would pass out!!!

Probably not. And BTW, it's filmed, not taped. It's not a sitcom.

Now take a deep breath and compose yourself. ;)

ok - filmed - not taped!! I get Sawyer on my mind and don't think straight! I honestly don't expect to watch any filming or see any actors. It would be excellent, though, to see some sort of props or at least see where they had the crashed plane set up - which is where my original question came from - I remember reading somewhere (it had to have been a LOST site) that the North Shore tours pointed out where they staged the plane crash. I know this doesn't sound exciting to most of you but three things that I love are 1) dogs 2) traveling and 3) the tv show LOST!! And it is the only television show that I watch. It will be a great trip regardless - I'm just asking whatever questions pop into my mind!

This article has lots of good information about Lost filming locations.

Well, at least you'll be able to see a bunch of the locations. When you arrive, if there are any Lost-related tours, the concierge service should have information.

thank you so much Merry Travel!! We might rent a car and drive ourselves around the island! At least we know it will be beautiful and we can tell people about the sites - whether they'll believe me or not I don't know! I mean I could take pictures anywhere and tell people "this is where Lost is filmed." and they wouldn't know any different! But I am such a fan of the show that it would make ME happy to know that I am truly in "lost territory!!"

You should also know that they don't just stick to one spot. Many of their "warehouse" scenes were filmed here at Aloha Tower Marketplace, where I work. As you read this, they are currently out at the lychee farm in Central Oahu. And of course, there's all those spots mentioned in MerryTravel's link.

They're all over. About a month ago I was doing my weekly Sunday jog through the Kahala area and saw Sayid jogging by. He must frequent the area since several people said they saw him at Kahala Mall's Star Market (a supermarket there).

My son was on a school trip with his class spending a few days at Camp Erdman on the North Shore. From their bus they saw the plane parts laying all over the sand on the beach. This was the summer before the Lost series began airing. We had no idea...

They've filmed twice so far at the cathedral at my daughter's school.

The first time I heard it was rather exciting because a number of the students got to meet and hang out with the actor that played a Hobbit in the Lord of the Rings movies.

The second time there were no lead actors filming.

Both times it completely screwed up the traffic and parking at the school - all the trailers and vans everywhere.
