Los Angeles Suggestions

Hi Everyone,

Wife and I traveling to LA in July, because she has to take an exam. We won't get to do much Thurs/Fri. But any suggestions on what to do? We have Friday evening / night, Saturday all day. We are flying back Sunday afternoon. Anything we can do or see? First time in LA. Thanks.

Amit.

LA is huuuuuuuuge. It's not worth recommending a place that is a 2 hour drive in traffic. Where will she be taking her exam, and where will you be staying?

At the Days Inn on Mariposa Ave.

I know its a bad question. But we sort of have a day and half, so might as well do something :)

If I had 1 day in LA, I would do Olvera Street & Chinatown, then Farmer's Market, perhaps walk of the stars or LaBrea tar pits, then head to Santa Monica and Venice Beach.

I'd do some Korean BBQ Friday night since you're in Koreatown. Saturday you won't have much trouble getting around. I'd probably go downtown also, although I think Little Tokyo is more interesting than Chinatown. You're about half way between downtown and Beverly Hills, and not that far from Hollywood.

HOW CRAZY! I live on Mariposa Ave. Exactly one block away from that hotel. I suggest you try the Korean BBQ like mlgb says. It's to die for. I hope you will be renting a car.
There is a great korean place a block down..Alexandria and 6th St..in the Chapman Plaza..
I would def check out Venice. The sidewalk vendors and acts will surely be in full swing in July.
