Los Angeles Hotel for about $150
 

Where is a descent place to stay in Los Angles for about $150 per night including parking? I've found a place in Little Tokyo that's supposed to be o.k., but I'm not sure we will like the location. Might we?

Most of the places we've stayed in Santa Monica, Beverly Hill, West Hollywood, and Marina Del Rey are now about $300 per night with parking and tax. We'd rather spend our travel dollars in other ways.

Good point. We are looking for January 5 and 6.

The Standard Hotel in West Hollywood usually has fair rates. The location is nice, but it can be loud on weekends.

Thanks. This morning I found a deal at the Elan--$200 a night including parking and tax.

I have stayed a few times at the Inn at Venice Beach. It is newly gutted and renovated. It's a cute place, which wraps around a courtyard. Complimentary continental breakfast is included, which is a decent spread. I think parking is $8, and some is covered.
