Los Angeles area

Does anyone know if the area around Los Angeles City College is a safe neighborhood.

Haven't been in that area in a long time...in fact, forgotten where exactly it was. Maybe on Vermont?

All I remember was, it's not the nicest area...

NO, by all means, no! This is one of the most dangerous places in the city. I never go there at night.

It's seedy and I wouldn't feel comfortable there at night. I have taken some afternoon classes and it was fine. ( I am assuming you mean the campus and the blocks around the campus). On an upnote, the streets just a bit west of the area have received Historical Overlay designation and are beginning to clean-up.

It's on the upswing - even before that it wasn't really too bad, just poor and immigrant. it's pretty noisy in that area too, the people who live there seem to like to play horrible music very loudly late at night.
It is not a safe area for a vacation or to live. It is best to stay west of LaBrea.
