Loooking for a sports bar or good casual restaurant in Washington, DC
 

We will be staying at the Mayflower Hotel - 1127 Connecticut Avenue - Any good sports bars for burgers, etc. or good casual restaurants nearby (burgers, mexican, barbeque) for our 2 teenage boys to go to for dinner? Thanks in advance

I believe there is a Bertrucci's and a California Pizza nearby. As for a sports bar, there is a sports bar of a sort at about 1211 Connecticut, near 18th and Connecticut, that even shows European soccer matches. I don't remember its name but it is within feet of a music joint which has stationed outside its doors figures of the Blue Brothers (Akroyd and Belushi).

Uh... that "music joint" is the Graffiti audio/video supply store.

Go to the Well Dressed Burrito for Mexican (m-f lunch only).

Buffalo Billiard near DuPont Circle would probably count as a sports bar. Another place--while not a sports bar--is Luna Grill about two blocks north of your hotel. At Metro center, there is also Capitol City Brewing.

Buffalo Billiards, of course! Great suggestion. How did I forget? Great pub food, large screen TV's, darts, pool tables and only a few blocks from The Mayflower.
