My heart will always be in Atlanta(because my son is there too). Short, usually mild winters...we always said winter ended on Valentine's day :-). Good job opportunities...good colleges, good sports town, fab restaurants,,,most importantly decent housing prices.

dfr. that is the big problem with us..the "lots of activities" part..there is not enough to do here, if one does not play golf or go boating. But the longer we are down here, the more we are finding to keep us busy.
I will let you know how great it is this January :D

You should definately consider Houston. It's much warmer than North and South Carolina and our medical center is stellar. Houston is home to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, which is one of the pre-eminent oncology centers in the world, as well as Texas Children's Hospital and Memorial Hermann, and Baylor College of Medicine, all of which have excellent oncology programs.

Look at www.city-data.com it has statistics for A LOT of cities in the U.S.
