Looking for whales on Maine coast

Where is a good place to see whales off the Maine coast?
Are there B&Bs that provide whale watching from their properties?

Typically you have to go out in a sizable boat in order to see the whales - they don;t hang out next to the shore.

Took the 9:30 boat from midcoast Boothbay Harbor to Monhegan Island today and saw a whale on both the outbound and inbound (2:30) trips. The whales surfaced only a couple times each, but it was still great to see them. And Monhegan is a delightful place for a day trip (or, even better, an overnight visit).

Thank you! I'll research all of these options. I appreciate the advice.
