looking for reasonable seafood resturant around Shell Beach/Pismo Beach, CA
I will be staying in Shell Beach for 3 weeks and plan to eat out one or two meals a day. Any good and reasonable resturants to recommend like Splash Cafe, Pismo Fish & Chips and Pierside Seafood?

Brad's, Scotty's, Steamers to name a few. Do you really want to eat seafood daily for 3 weeks? I can recommend some Italian and Japanese restaurants too. Fat Cats in Avila (just up the road) is good too).

Thanks Lorenzo, yes we could eat seafood every day but sushi might be a nice break, or perhaps Pesche alla Italiana! We would appreciate any kind of REASONABLY priced fare.

Somehow I rarely get past Pismo Fish & Chips for seafood when I'm in the area. Surugi's in SLO has pretty good moderately priced Japanese food. Farmers Market on thursday nights in SLO is always fun for the food; while it is mostly bbq, I think I've seen some seafood there as well.

My favorite Italian in Pismo/Shell are Rosa's (more traditional, less expensive) and Giuseppe's (more gourmet). Yanagi's in Pismo is a great place for sushi and has a teppan grill. Maybe you could eat at the nicer places for lunch because it is usually less expensive than dinner. Another place for seafood is Pelican Point at the Shore Cliff Lodge, Seaventure at the Seaventure Inn, and the previously mentioned Steamers. Try their salmon with mango salsa-yum! Scotty's that I mentioned has great fish tacos and is very reasonable.
I just went to the aforementioned farmer's market this past Thursday and you can get all kinds of food from vendors... from bbq to Italian to Chinese. There are some great places to eat in San Luis Obispo as well. |
