Looking for NEWER Orlando hotels

Sister, BIL and I made plans to see Shuttle launch in November, but it's been moved now. :(

We are still going to take the trip, as we decided we all still need the vacation and Florida ain't so bad. :)

BUT, my sis is really not fond of "musty" or "older" hotels. So, I'm looking for newer hotels in the Orlando area.

Our real only requirement is that the doors are "inside", so no Super8's for us, new or not. But any of the Hilton family hotels is great. Any new Hampton Inns or Fairfield Inns near Orlando?

Any suggestions welcome. We'll be in town in early November.

Thanks all!

Can you please give desired price range and preferred location (i.e. near WDW, Universal, downtown, airport, etc.). Orlando has tons of hotel rooms, so some specifics would help.

Orlando_Vic, sorry! Never been, so I did not realize I'd have to be more specific.

Price range up to $150/night. Of course, we wouldn't mind paying less than that! :)

We'll have a car, so I don't think location is too important. We will probably hit Epcot Center one day and possibly Universal on another. Otherwise, we will probably be traveling (like to Kennedy Space Center or Everglades or...).

My sister and her hubby are "nature" freaks, so if a bunch of hotels qualify, then something that has "scenery" would be great. Hiking paths or gardens.

Thanks O_V!

I like the Homewood Suites on International and they have a 2br suite that is nice. No hiking but you can walk to a lot of places.

I REALLY like the Portofino Hotel not far away - or the Royal Pacific. And, you get to go to the front of the line at Universal.

I got wind of a new place in Celebration called the Mona Lisa Suite Hotel.

It is brand new and Tripadvisor only has six reviews, but they are all excellent.

And it's hard to beat the price. 119/night for a 2-bed, 2-bath suite with full kitchen and living room. Balcony to boot!

So, I put in reservation there, but still interested in any other suggestions.

(Starrs- Homewood was booked- no 2-bedroom suites left for our stay. But thx!)
