Looking for More Pre-Theatre Restaurants

I've surfed some of the previous posts, and come up with Becco, Blue Fin and Hell's Kitchen. Looking for a few more reccomendations. We're at The Constant Wife on Tuesday (West 42nd), Spamalot on Wednesday (West 44th) and Spelling Bee on Thursday (West 50th). Looking for seafood and Mexican especially, although Asian and Italian and American are OK. No French. Thanks!

We have enjoyed Chez Josephine, Le Madeleine, LeBernadin, and Redeye Grill.

Try Redeye Grill (56th & 7th) the night you go to Spelling Bee. Excellent seafood.

Other options for seafood are Esca (pasta and fish), Joseph's Citarella (pricey but good). Hell's Kitchen is the best Mexican I know in the area. Victor's Cafe is Cuban and near Spelling Bee. Tons of Italian in the area including Trattoria Trecolori, Becco, Lattanzi and Orso not to mention John pizzeria on west 44 st. Do you know about restaurant row? 46 st b/w 8th-9th. Joe Allen's very popular for American there. Some of the Italians I mentioned are also there. Here's a website that lists them all

We like West Bank Cafe, 42nd & 9th Ave, 212-736-4780. Also just tried Zona Rosa, 40 W 56th St,Btwn 5th & 6th Ave, 212-247-2800. ZR is owned by the chef from Rosa's Mexicana. It is a little sleeker than your typical Mexican restaurant. Great margaritas. Loved the special pork dish.

Thanks everyone. I've added, in no particular order, Redeye Grill, Zona Rosa, Esca and Victor's Cafe to the list. Going to be hard to choose!
