Hollymom0f5, what have you decided? Wild, but not only do i live in suwanee, I just happen to know samsuf and go to her church. small world. Wanderluster....you make a point something like the one I made in "places with the nicest people" thread. But, I think you took me wrong. I was making observations very much in the way a stand up comic would about how a northern person thinking the grass is greener and "friendlier" somewhere else and then learns that it is not exactly easy being green. ha! I just caught up with this post. I love it here. The perfect blend of big city at your finger tips with small town cozy. I have lived many places and have traveled all over, but I can't think of a better place to live. The traffic can get bad if you have to commute, so that is one drawback- but worth it. Many of the towns hollymomof5 mentioned are similar: suwanee, buford, sugar hill, duluth and in the same area. People here have open arms and hearts EVEN to us yankees ;)! Although bamakelly may have been a bit harsh in judging holly on her grammar in the original post, and the homeschooling of her kids (many homeschool here), the point has it's validity. Don't be fooled by the small southern town feel here. This area is not only highly innovative, but most moving here are highly educated and looking for a retreat from the big city to bring up their family. This is becoming a melting pot of people from all over the world (diverse area) and is filled with open minded individuals who really don't relect the "mayberry" stereotype. I have moved here from a town further NORTH (I won't dare say where) to get away from that!
