Karen & Mark,Have you considered Savanah? It is so beautiful and very historic. There is a beautiful Inn there called the President's Inn that would be a beautiful place for your wedding night!! You may even be able to have the ceramony in one of the beatiful parks they have or one of the very old historic churches. Look into it I think if ypur looking for Old Southern Wedding this would be just beautiful.Good Luck Congratulations

Does no one look at the DATES of these posts? What was the point of resurrecting it 1, then 2, then 5 months later? There is no city that says old south, with beautiful gardens, southern mansions, horses and carriages, better than Savannah, GA. This is withoutn a doubt one of the nost beautiful cities. Anne is right. The park in the center of town, surrounded bt all the things you requested, is the site of many weddings. Simply beautiful. One place you should sincerly check out if you are serious about this.

I have been to a wedding in St. Simon's Island in Georgia. It was very sounthern in a small church and the ocean was beautiful.

1. Depending on the prices you are considering - The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulpher Springs, West Virginia, may just be the place you are looking for.

2. In Elkins WV, there is a place called the Hallie Hurst Mansion which is rented for weddings. Beside it is a beautiful charming inn called the Graceland Inn. My son is having an outdoor wedding there this fall. The bride is arriving via horse &amp; buggy.
