Looking for ideas

Hubby and I are going to be alone this Christmas. I'm looking for ideas on where to go. We went and saw all the family last year and being without the kids this year (MIL is taking them to Disney), we're hoping to head somewhere for the few days after Christmas.

Does anyone know of festivals here in the US at that time of year? Or perhaps a medieval themed Christmas or some sort of stand up comedy.

Thanks in advance!
Kristine

I just came back from Coeur d'Alene, ID. There is a great resort on the lake there and they do a lot of Christmas related activities. It is a beautiful area and would be a wonderful place to spend the holidays

New York City is my favorite but it is very expensive and crowded. What is your budget?

Key West would be nice. Also packed for New Years and Christmas.

I love Asheville around Christmas. Biltmore House and Grove Park do lots of special events. Kristine, from where are you coming?

Kristine, although Chicago isn't normally known for its medieval aspect, we in Second City do know comedy.

Keep us in mind if you want to smile a lot.
