Looking for hotel in downtown Orlando

We will be visiting a friend who lives in downtown Orlando. We are looking for a nice hotel which has suites (we are a family of five). Please let me know what you recommend in the downtown area. (indoor pool a plus).
Thanks.

Downtown Orlando? You expect a choice of hotels? That place is like a ghost town.
There's an Embassy Suites downtown, but I don't know if they've got a pool or not.

I don't have any specific advice but you aren't getting any suggestions so I thought I'd throw my two cents in. Orlando downtown might be more for business travel and lots of us on this board are vacation travelers for trips to Orlando.

Since downtown isn't really vacation oriented it may not have many suite type hotels as business hotels cater to individual travelers.

I went to expedia and typed in Orlando then went specifically to Downtown as the location and came up with a couple of hotels. But I don't have any experience with them so I don't want to recommend them. But you can check them out on expedia. I did see that at least one had an indoor pool.
